1. Purpose
The Lubricant Specialists exists to support informed professional exchange across lubricants, base oils and additives. We prioritise subjects with technical, commercial, strategic or regulatory relevance to the value chain.
2. Accuracy and sourcing
Factual claims should be supported by credible sources, direct knowledge or clearly identified analysis. Where possible, primary documents, official specifications and on-record industry sources are preferred. Estimates, forecasts and interpretations should be labelled and their limitations made clear.
3. Independence, governance and conflicts
Editorial judgment should not be purchased. Commercial relationships, sponsorships or the founder’s professional affiliations should not determine independent conclusions. Material conflicts that could reasonably affect a reader’s interpretation should be disclosed beside the relevant work.
Bhupinder Singh has an active professional career in the lubricant industry in addition to founding this platform. The Lubricant Specialists is a separate professional information and community initiative. Founder-view articles are identified, and views are his own unless a different capacity is expressly stated.
4. Contributions
Contributed material is assessed for relevance, expertise, evidence and professional value. Contributors must disclose significant commercial interests connected to their subject. Promotional claims may be edited, challenged, labelled or declined.
5. Sponsored and partner content
Any future sponsored, paid or partner-supported content will be clearly labelled so that readers can distinguish it from independent editorial material. Sponsorship does not guarantee favourable coverage.
6. Corrections
Material factual errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Minor typographical improvements may be made without a notice. Significant corrections should identify what changed. Send correction requests to contact@lubricantspecialists.com with the page, disputed statement and supporting evidence.
7. Publishing and review controls
Original articles should carry a named author, publication date, editorial classification and source list where factual claims depend on external evidence. High-risk technical, specification, licensing, regulatory or legal claims should be checked against current primary material before publication. Pages may be updated when facts change; material updates should carry a revised date or correction note.
Before a new service is launched, its owner, user journey, data handling, monitoring and rollback path should be identified. Audience growth does not override accuracy, consent or security controls.
The forward editorial programme is a planning commitment, not a promise to publish material before it is ready. Working titles may be revised or deferred when evidence, relevance or review capacity requires it.
8. Use of artificial intelligence
AI tools may support research organisation, transcription, drafting, editing or design. They do not replace editorial responsibility. Material facts, quotations and technical claims require human review appropriate to their risk. We will not knowingly present fabricated sources or AI-generated statements as human quotations.
9. Respect and professional conduct
We encourage informed disagreement without personal attack, discrimination or harassment. Confidential information, private correspondence and off-record comments should not be published without appropriate permission or a compelling lawful basis.
10. Updating this policy
These standards will develop with the platform. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page and applied to new editorial work. Last substantive review: 26 July 2026.
